Feed the Hungry has been serving the poor and vulnerable of Grays Harbor and Pacific counties since 1982. The program, inspired by Fr. Quinn and other parishioners, began serving at St. Mary School and soon moved to St. Rose convent and later to the New Parish Center. After 18 years under the supervision of Jane Mezera, the program had outgrown the parish’s ability to manage. The Parish approached Catholic Community Services for help and CCS took over management on June 1, 2002.
Feed the Hungry serves a hot meal 5 days a week serving an average of 150 persons daily. Volunteers work in teams for a particular day each week. While weekday meals remain at St. Mary’s Parish Center, the time has changed to noon.
Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer may contact Cher Spencer at 360-637-8563, ext. 117 or stop in the CCS office at 410 North H St. Aberdeen. Our mailing address is P.O. Box 1734 Aberdeen, WA 98520
